I Love Food Message: I've grown up to love and appreciate the food laid out in front of me. My family members love food as much as I do. Its just a pity that my appetite is not as big as theirs. But I do manage to eat a lot when there's really really good food. I love all kinds of cuisine but have a soft spot for anything spicy. I cook for myself when I have the time. I bake for my family. And sometimes its perfect, sometimes its not. I'm not a professional chef, but I do love cooking. The aroma flowing out of the kitchen door is always the best, whereas the aroma coming out of the toilet door after a satisfying meal is not my favourite. There's so much more to know about me. Guess you're just going to have to find out. More about me. It's Chinese Take Out Time Adventures With Chopsticks

Saturday, March 15, 2008 I decided that since this is the 300th post... I'll FINALLY do a review on food. Its been... AGES since I've wrote in my food blog, which ultimately is no longer alive, as this is the primary blog and I guess everything will just be... on here now. Unless I decide to change my mind later in life again. Hehehe. So yes, we had this dinner, LAST year. Parent's Anniversary to be exact. Oh don't worry, there's MANY other food posts that I haven't done. Sigh! I wonder why I kept it till so long. Hahaha.. Oh oh, I know!!! BECAUSE I was busy with... 1) college 2) classes 3) studies 4) exams 5)... But anyway moving along, last year, we had dinner at Kin-no-uma. Its a Japanese restaurant in Palace of the Golden Horses. We go there quite frequently... but lately not so. So here are the pictures. Sorry some of them were blur... camera was running out of battery and I just had to snap as quick as possible. And as yummy as possible. You are lucky I took the photos before digging in. Hahaha... ENJOY~~ THE lovely complimentary appetizer they served. Its quite a small portion but... I tell you its... DELICIOUS!!!!!!!! They ALWAYS give some sort of complimentary appetizer. This is jellyfish... I LOVE. And other times they give you beansprout, or seaweed, or fish... many things.. and they are ALWAYS DELICIOUS!!!!!!!! Cali-californian roll. I always wondered why they were called Californian rolls... It Japanese rolls or something I understand la. Lol... But this... is a must have dish whenever I step into a Japanese restaurant. UNAGI!!!!! Another MUST HAVE dish when I step into ANY Japanese Restaurant. I love love love love love LOVEEEE this. The way they cook it and everything. ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!!!!!!!! Btw, that lump at the left side, that's potato salad... LOVE LOVE LOVE! Ah, Unagi and Rice... I love. My favourite most satisfying Japanese dish EVER! hahaha, when I was younger, everytime we went to a Jap restaurant, I'd order this. ALWAYS... Seafood fried rice. Absolutely DELICIOUS!!!!! They also have Garlic fried rice... which is ALSO delicious!!! This is basically, rice with salmon and you pour the soup from the teapot and it kinda becomes porridge. Although it is a little simple, its tasty. The soup has the taste. And its not oily and stuff... So yea. Overall, the food is satisfactory. I've decided to give up on the whole rating thing. And I love the little side portion of salad and whatever it is... its yummmmmy! Labels: dinner out, events, food, japanese |
