I Love Food

The author is a food lover.
Message: I've grown up to love and appreciate the food laid out in front of me. My family members love food as much as I do. Its just a pity that my appetite is not as big as theirs. But I do manage to eat a lot when there's really really good food. I love all kinds of cuisine but have a soft spot for anything spicy. I cook for myself when I have the time. I bake for my family. And sometimes its perfect, sometimes its not. I'm not a professional chef, but I do love cooking. The aroma flowing out of the kitchen door is always the best, whereas the aroma coming out of the toilet door after a satisfying meal is not my favourite. There's so much more to know about me. Guess you're just going to have to find out. More about me.

Sick Food (literally)
The following may cause uneasiness.

This is good to eat when you have a tooth ache, or when you are sick. Or in my case when you just don't feel like cooking up a storm and you are VERY lazy.

Firstly, you need leftover rice... or just go cook rice. You need water and a pot. Put it together and let it boil. and boil... and boil until you get the texture you want.

Figured out what it is?

PORRIDGE! Simple and delicious.

I remove the plain white porridge from the pot and into a bowl. I crack an egg and pour it inside the bowl together with the porridge and mix it in. Its not taking the spoon and stirring it. More like "fold" it in. A tip I learned from my dad. And don't worry, the egg will cook. And even if it doesn't, raw egg is alright.

Then you mix in Marmite, its a yeast extract paste and it comes in a black bottle with yellow label and cap. Different people have different tastes. I don't mind Marmite whereas my brother's housemate doesn't like it. LOL! I can have Marmite soup and be happy... which is just Marmite mixed with hot water.

And then VIOLA! DONE!!!!

And this is how it looks like....

I know it doesn't look THAT appealing but its healthy and it does make you full (subject to the size of the bowl and your appetite)

And if you don't like marmite then you can always put soya sauce and pepper for taste. I just think it doesn't cut it.
