I Love Food

The author is a food lover.
Message: I've grown up to love and appreciate the food laid out in front of me. My family members love food as much as I do. Its just a pity that my appetite is not as big as theirs. But I do manage to eat a lot when there's really really good food. I love all kinds of cuisine but have a soft spot for anything spicy. I cook for myself when I have the time. I bake for my family. And sometimes its perfect, sometimes its not. I'm not a professional chef, but I do love cooking. The aroma flowing out of the kitchen door is always the best, whereas the aroma coming out of the toilet door after a satisfying meal is not my favourite. There's so much more to know about me. Guess you're just going to have to find out. More about me.

More Food! Actually Hot Chocolate!
My first encounter with hot chocolate was quite awhile back. When I was 12 or 14 or in between or younger? Can't really remember, but I know it was long ago. I was in New Zealand the first time I had hot chocolate. And it was from a... vending machine! at a motel we stayed in. LOL! I put in one New Zealand Dollar, put the styrafoam cup in place and hit a button. And swoosh, this lovely brown chocolate smelling liquid gushes out from the machine. Take a plastic stirrer and stir, and drink. And in the process, burn my tongue. It was so good, so burn the tongue! hahaha. Everyday at the motel, I'll have two cups before I sleep and maybe one or two in the day, depending if I have loose change or not. But it was YUMMY!

And after that first time, I was always on the lookout for instant hot chocolate. And they never turned out that good. I've tried the Cadbury one and it sucked! And I've tried a few others, but FINALLY I've found one. One that's worth my money.

And I only had one packet/sachet. Which SUCKED! but I found it by luck! It was sitting in the cabinet, in a canister together with all the 3-in-1 coffee and tea bags. *ahem* we've A LOT collected from the hotels we stay at and the lounges at the airports we go to* So I was looking for a Milo 3-in-1 because I was lazy to dish out Milo powder from the big tin, and condensed milk (YUM YUM!) but we didn't have any. Then I saw this... and I was like..WHY not. It could be nice.

AND IT WAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My dad god it from Germany! Must be from his hotel room, or the lounge at the Germany Airport. Because you CANNOT find this here. Well, haven't searched high and low for it yet.

I present to you, the best Instant Hot Chocolate so far.... *drum roll*

The Good Stuff. Have you seen it before in M'sia? TELL ME!!!

Now, how to prepare? SIMPLE!

1. Open packet and pour contents out into mug.

2. Add hot water. (not too much, just enough so that there are no clumps)

3. Stir! and taste. If too thick or sweet, add a little water. And stir. THEN DRINK IT UP! SAVOUR ITTTTTTTT!

Too bad I haven't found it in Malaysia yet. If not, that's your birthday presents people! hahaha. ;) Just messing. Anyway, its good stuff.

I leave you with a... camwhored picture! LOL! Toodles

Donut Empire
Yum yum yummmmm!!!!!!!!!!

Anyway I had this a few days back, Thursday to be exact. Or was it Wednesday? One of those days, I think Thursday!

And I LOVE them. I never really really liked donuts because... One particular brand (that's been so long in Malaysia and somehow always gave me stale donuts) spoiled them for me. Boo! But I've started to LOVE them again. I've always loved cream puffs, so it'll be nearly a crime if I didn't love donuts right? They are almost the same. But cream puffs are smaller and and yummier! Hahaha.

Anyway Donut Empire, hmm, I think they originate from Singapore. And anyway, they are really really good! Yummy! I haven't had the chance to try Big Apple or J.CO, but still Donut Empire is good good GOOD!!!

The outlet I went to was at Plaza OUG. Citrus Park -where ALL the food outlets are. Plaza OUG is located around Jalan Klang Lama, near Taman OUG (DUH!) hahaha. Anyway, they are delicious! I'm not sure if they have other outlets.

Yum Yum!
Top (L-R): Simpson, Cheeze, Green Tea
Bottom (L-R): Chocolate, Oreo and Oreo.

Those may not be their exact flavour names, but its something like that. Simpson is correct though. =)

Top (L-R): Chocolate with cheese filling?, chocolate with chocolate filling *grins*, and Blueberry
Bottom (L-R): Origin, Sillimon and Sillimon.

And just so you know. My favourite is SILLIMON! Hehehehe! its a cheesy/white chocolate top with cinnamon powder. Hmm, I love the name!

Of course I've only tried the Sillimon one and they are absolutely heavenly! Argh!!! So fattening but soooooo good for my soul. And the last time there was the chocolate one with Coco Pops. Hmm, Not that good. Don't get that. I didn't enjoy that. Oh! Their Chocolate top with coffee cream filling is not too bad. Its quite nice! So yes, I'm out to try each flavour. They are now downstairs in the kitchen. Tempting me. I don't know how I pushed the temptations away for now. But I'm coming for them tomorrow. That's my very very satisfying breakfast and not exactly healthy! hahaha. I'm gonna cut each donut into 8 and have one-eighth of each flavour. Grrr! Don't hate me because you don't get good food. +)

What I LOVE about Donut Empire is that, the donut itself is... not dense and stale. Its fluffy and fresh and soft. And fluffy and fresh and soft and warm. ARGHHHH! Sooo good. And then with the toppings.... TO DIE FOR!!!!

Hmpf! Exercise Exercise! SIGH!

Anyway, I'm off to bed. I'm soooo tired. That chatting till 2am yesterday was no help.... ARGH!!! I need to stop losing track of time. Grrrrrrr

Anyway. In advance by about 15 minutes, HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESSEBEL! 12 already. OMFG! When did she get so big? Sigh, she's... taller than me... crap crap. And yes, if you didn't know, she is my sister.

Good night world. =)

Food food CREAM PUFFS!
I had cream puffs a few days back. It was SO good! It was FRESH, and not warm and yucky, but cool and just the right temperature. A lower temperature than your mouth and not too cold like ice.

YUMMY!

Ohhhh, the lovely lovely lovely LOVELY THING! It was soft and.... AWESOME! Whoever invented them is a GENIUS!

Yum! Take a bite. Look at all that custard/cream (whatever you wish!). That lovely, soft, light yellow substance. YUMMY!

One more bite. The TEMPTATION!

Uh-Oh! I'm always so clumsy with yummy food.

DELICIOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why does it have to FINISH!?!?!?! argh!

Guilty as charged! Had three cream puffs *shy away*

GOOD GOOD GOOOOOOOD! Yummy. Btw, someone got them for me. =) But it was good. And I love them.

And today, Bel and Julz went to the orthodontist. And then went to Citrus Park/ OUG Plaza. And got DONUTS! from Donut Empire. Oooooooooo, soooo good! I had 2 and a half donuts. Hehehe. One cinnamon one, one Coco-Pops one and half of a coffee creamed one. The cinnamon was the best!!! Coco-Pops was... not nice. and the coffee creamed one... I'm not a fan of creamed coffee. But I enjoyed it, because the pastry was GOOD! And and and!!! Dunkin Donut is a rip off. Its not nice!

I WANT KRISPY KREME!!! They should open one in Malaysia!!!!!!! ARGH! I wanna go Jakarta! The one place in South East Asia they have a branch... JAKARTA!!!!!!!!! SIGH! Singapore or KUALA LUMPUR la!!! Don't have to take a flight what... =P Hehehehe
