I Love Food Message: I've grown up to love and appreciate the food laid out in front of me. My family members love food as much as I do. Its just a pity that my appetite is not as big as theirs. But I do manage to eat a lot when there's really really good food. I love all kinds of cuisine but have a soft spot for anything spicy. I cook for myself when I have the time. I bake for my family. And sometimes its perfect, sometimes its not. I'm not a professional chef, but I do love cooking. The aroma flowing out of the kitchen door is always the best, whereas the aroma coming out of the toilet door after a satisfying meal is not my favourite. There's so much more to know about me. Guess you're just going to have to find out. More about me. It's Chinese Take Out Time Adventures With Chopsticks

I should have gotten the chocolate muffin as well. Hahaha get FAT! Gahh! No no no! I shall wait till December to get fat. Woohoo! I can't wait till I'm back home on the 29th. Bel promised me donuts, mum will bring me to eat hawker food. YES DIRTY DELICIOUS HAWKER FOOD!!! Labels: food Sunday, November 16, 2008 The Princess can COOK! The Princess can whip up an awesome sandwich! Anyway its a double decker sandwich with egg, cheese, sausages and onion with some special sauce of mine ;) And I know you are dying to see what I can whip up right? Hahaha for those who doubt my cooking abilities... IN YOUR FACE K! Don't you dare curi the recipe! Anyway this was BRUNCH The ingredients: Three slices of bread, buttered One egg One slice of cheese One sausage, sliced White onion rings Butter Salt and pepper All Spice - or whatever seasoning you wish. Jacq's special sauce I seasoned the sausages with all spice and a little bit of pepper. You can instead use garlic or salt, whatever you please. Heat the pan and throw in the sausages and cook. I soaked the onions in salt water for awhile, to take away the VERY strong onion smell. Drain, then I seasoned with with pepper and a pinch of salt. Also with a little of all spice. Once the sausages are cooked, remove from the pan and add the onions. Cook the onions, you don't want them to be hard. Cook and then add the sausages and give it a stir. Once you are satisfied with the look and texture of the onions, remove from the pan. Heat the buttered side of the bread until slightly brown then turn it over for awhile until the crust is crunchy. For the double sided buttered bread, heat both sides until golden brown and crunchy. *yummy right?* For those who don't want to be fat, don't butter too much. I butter very lightly. Add the egg and cheese. You want to do it immediately after you cook the egg, so that the cheese melts. Then place the double sided buttered bread on top. Add sauce - I put chilli sauce and a special sauce that I made. =P Spread to all corners of the bread. Shoooo good. My lovely phone camera took this. Never doubt a 3.2 megapixel phone camera. Or rather, never doubt me as a photographer ;) Hmm, YUMMY! Clean plate. hahaha. Of course you can make it a triple decker sandwich. Another layer of ham. Or another layer of sauteed mushrooms with onions. Or make that a four storey sandwich. *grins* Darn! I should have made it sausages, mushroom AND onions. Didn't want to open a can of mushrooms. And I scared later John need it for something. Oh well, it would have been nicer. Mushroom, sausages and onions with pepper, and seasoning. *grins* Well, what you waiting for!?!?! Go make a SANDWICH! **Don't you wish you can marry ME!!!! Or date me at least. WAHAHAHA** Labels: food Saturday, November 15, 2008 I went to Clarke Quay to PARTY! Hahaha Pre-exam party?? or rather... MID-EXAM party!! Hahaha! nah, I went to Clarke Quay to eat ra-men. Jun Yen introduced the place to us. Its at the third floor of Central and called Marumoto Ramen. The turnover rate is quite fast, so don't be put off with the long queue. We got in and again, don't be put off with the "look like nothing" menu. Its actually not bad. A bowl of ramen is SGD12. You can add various toppings like extra meat (char sui) or negi (egg). The egg is SGD1, and 3 extra pieces of meat is SGD4. And my advice, if you are a big eater, don't finish the soup. Because you can add noodles for SGD2. And from the second addition of noodle you get one free topping. Which IMO, you might as well don't add topping at first and add noodles to get the topping. Or cheat the fella and tell them its your second noodle addition (of course your friend also adds). Anyway... here are the pictures. I sooo wished I had a proper camera. It would look SO MUCH more appetising. I SWEAR! Especially with my dead Sony (RIP). According to JunYen, its supposed to "melt" in your mouth. But then that's only the FATTY layer. =.= Another serving of Yaki Char Sui Eh, did you see something different? That's right, second serving got FIVE pieces of meat. Hhahaa LOL at JunYen Hey Jonathan Chew Ruzhe, you're gonna curse my camera dropping into food again RIGHT?! Gonna look forward for parents coming so that they can pay ;) and btw, its a bit salty in my opinion. the soup I mean. Hhahaha at least water is free :P Labels: food Friday, November 14, 2008 Now why do I call it FRIED omelette? Because it had an omelette feeling inside, and outside it looked like fried egg. More brownish than an omelette would be. So here goes.... Onions chopped to small dices. Sliced sausages. Eggs. I didn't add mushroom because I didn't want to open a whole can, I would only be using 1 or 2 mushroom. Lazy also. :P Basically its VERY simple. You crack the eggs into a bowl, beat it, then add the ingredients and beat more. Another secret ingredient. I put parmesan shaves and beat it. Add salt and pepper to taste. Then you pour it into a pan as shown above. Once you cook one side till its a nice colour... You flip it over!!! Hey, not bad ok! Considering there's SO much there. But pretty cool. Managed to keep it intact - aside from that small piece at the side. This is brunch (breakfast + lunch) hahaha off to "study" Where the fuck is my ANTM!?!?! Labels: food I cooked again! I'm so happy. I cooked for myself because the others (Jun Yen and Yin Chau) had class and John didn't want any. Soooo happy! I had this for lunch yesterday. Man, I can start teaching people how to cook. ;) I should be a photographer or chef. Not a fucking accountant! KNNCCB! Well firstly, the ingredients that you require. I'm cooking a simple tomato sauce. Nothing fancy like seafood (yuuuummmmm!). Used a cheat - Prego Tomato Sauce, Spaghetti, Onions - diced, so that it will be SLIGHTLY chunky not TOO chunky, some sliced Sausages and some minced garlic. Cook the spaghetti and set it aside. Make sure you drizzle some Olive Oil over it so it won't stick. Then you cook the sauce. In a pan, drizzle a little olive oil and spread it. Add the garlic, stir until fragrant and add the onions. Stir a little while so that the "taste" is out. Add the sausages and stir awhile so that the sausage can take in some of the taste. Add the tomato sauce with a little bit of water. Add salt and pepper to taste. I added some chilli powder. Its really up to you. If you don't wish to add water, no worries, I just don't like the sauce to be TOO thick or TOO watery. Once you've cooked the sauce, simmer awhile. For me because i'm cooking for one person, I just add the spaghetti into the pan and mix well. Whilst it is still warm in the pan, I add some sliced parmesan cheese and stir a little. And then serve. Yummmmm! And since I LOOOOVE parmesan cheese SO much, I added some more parmesan. Sprinkled it over and ta-dah!!! Delicious, I tell you. DELICIOUS!~ Sorry lah, picture quality not good. Wanted to eatttt. :P Of course this is just whatever I find lying around and put it in. For a better sauce, add mushrooms and some minced meat instead of the sausage. And you could throw in some extra Italian herbs like basil, oregano. just a little, you don't want it to be overwhelming that it kills the tomato taste. So there you have it =) Labels: food Saturday, November 8, 2008 I did the unthinkable today... in Julz books... and that is eating alone. Too bad I didn't go watch a movie alone. That would have freaked her out of her socks. ;) Hahaha. So there you have it sis, I had lunch alone. You should try it some day. Well, ok, I meant that as in join ME for lunch. I'll bring you to the place where food is unbelievable in SG... amazing no? hahaha. Anyway I had lunch at Formosa Delights. Its a restaurant across the street from John's place. They sell mostly China Chinese food. From the 'mian' to dim sum. Double the price in NTU, but then again, its not bad. And quite filling. *burp* Chicken Bamboo Rice. I swear its A LOT. And they were SO generous with the chicken. Blooooody hell, I want my camera!! *sobs* Xiao Long Bao. Yummmmy!!! That is RIGHT, 6 of them, WITH that bamboo rice... just FOR ME! Hahaha, I eat a lot huh? Hehe. Shut up! I didn't have breakfast (like always) Its cheaper than Billy Bombers but different la. Both are good. Satisfaction. CAN YOU TELL?!?! Let's study and suffer the same fate. ECONOMICS! ;) Labels: food |
